We set one cookie of our own, regardless of your choice, so the same visitor can't vote twice on a match prediction. If you choose Tá, we also set two Google Analytics cookies so we can see how many people are using the site and which pages they land on. We do not run ads, we do not sell data, and nobody is being followed around the internet on our account.
If you chose Níl, no analytics cookies were set and none will be.
A small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work at all, others exist to count or track. Ours are the counting kind — plus one that isn't.
The two Google Analytics cookies are only set if you chose Tá. The third is strictly necessary and set regardless of your choice.

The predictionVoterIdrow above isn't gated by your choice: the ePrivacy Regulations exempt cookies that are strictly necessary for a feature you've actually used, and voting on a match prediction is exactly that. Your consent choice itself isn't a cookie — it's stored in your browser's local storage as a single word, granted or denied, and never leaves your device.
Google Analytics is run by Google, so the data these cookies collect is processed by Google as well as read by us. What we see is aggregate: page views, rough location by country or county, device type, and how people arrived. We cannot see who you are from it.

Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page. That clears your saved choice and brings the banner back, and analytics will not load again unless you choose Tá.
One caveat worth stating plainly. Withdrawing consent stops any further analytics loading, but it does not reach back and delete _ga cookies already sitting in your browser. To remove those, clear cookies for this site in your browser settings:
You can also block cookies site-wide in any browser, though be aware that doing so breaks a lot of websites that are not this one.
We rely on your consent under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336/2011). No analytics cookie is placed before you choose, and Tá and Níl are given equal weight because a choice that is nudged is not really a choice.
If we add anything that sets a cookie, this page gets updated and the banner reappears so you can decide again.
